Overview

Taman Lestari Puchong is the original name for the area in Bandar Putra Permai (BPP) that was included in the Lestari Puchong development project by Lestari Puchong Sdn.Bhd. (a subsidiary of Talam Corporation). This 400 acre leasehold residential area is now more commonly known as Taman Lestari Putra (TLP) and has a few developers involved in its further development, one of them being Paragon Mastery Sdn.Bhd. The planned earlier phases that were due to be completed in 2006 by Lestari Puchong Sdn.Bhd. were finally completed only in 2010. It is surrounded by virgin forests, Taman Putra Permai, Kota Perdana and Lestari Perdana residential sections. TLP has seen tremendous growth in its population like BPP which it is a part of. Some estimates say that BPP has over 250,000 residents of multi-racial middleclass to upper middleclass backgrounds. This major township together with its sub-townships is part of the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve of Sri Kembangan and covers an area of 8,500 acres. Clean with fresh air, having low traffic flow and crime rates, TLP is a picture of peace, quiet and serenity. Its avenues are wide and well maintained with trees lining them, complete with green buffer zones and kerbed nature strips. Even the streets servicing the housing sections are neat, green tufted, and spacious with plenty of shady trees and playgrounds nearby. What is lacking is a commercial centre within this area itself although just a short drive away is the BPP town centre which has myriad amenities and facilities. Its properties mainly 1 & 2 storey terraced houses and condominiums have seen their values experiencing volatility in late 2016 but have since stabilized in the first half of 2017.

Amenities & Facilities

There are no shop lots within walking distance of TLP so residents here have to drive 4 minutes’ away to The Atmosphere, an impressive business complex of 4-5 storey shop lots and arcades. Giant Hypermarket, Bazaar Rakyat, and Pasar Borong Selangor, slightly further away, are also along Jalan Putra Permai which leads to Equine Park and its commercial centres. There are Petronas, Shell, and Petron petrol stations along this main road which is very spacious, with panoramic views of the wide open undulating green landscape and buildings of BPP. Also near to TLP is Farm in the City and Downtown Night Bazaar which are just adjacent to The Atmosphere. Aeon Equine Park is only 10 minutes from TLP and together with all the commercial centres of BPP offer an assortment of banks, pharmacists, eateries, bakeries, clinics, dental clinics, beauty and hair salons, car service centres, hotels, and minimarkets as well as supermarkets. Schools like SK Seksyen 9 Kota Damansara, and SK Taman Desaminium are public schools nearby TLP, while further away are international schools like Beacon House Sri Inai, Raffles International Private School, and Alice Smith School@Secondary Campus. Serdang Hospital and Columbia Puchong Hospital are 18 minutes’ and 20 minutes; drive away respectively.

Accessibility & Transportation

Persiaran Lestari Puchong is the main road that goes through TLP and links up with Persiaran Kota Perdana which is the only access road to these residences currently in 2017. Persiaran Kota Perdana links up with Jalan Putra Permai that connects with Jalan Besar - which leads to Sri Kembangan, and There are bus services leading to Equine Park with a bus terminal at Putra Permai commercial centre near Aeon Equine Park but there is no bus route yet leading into TLP.
