Overview

Established in 1992, Bandar Country Homes (formerly known as Taman Desa) is an integrated township development located in Rawang in the Gombak district of Selangor. Bandar Country Homes was developed by Tanco Holdings Bhd, but the development of the remaining parcels has been taken over by Temasya Mentari Development Sdn Bhd under Desa Country Homes.

 

Bandar Country Homes emerged at the height of the property boom in Rawang and its surrounding areas, spurred by the construction of the North-South Expressway which drastically improved connectivity to Rawang from Kuala Lumpur. This has made Bandar Country Homes an attractive living option, especially for buyers who work in KL city centre.

 

This township is divided into 13 precincts which are built across 700 acres of freehold land. They include a mixed development of gated-and-guarded residential projects, including bungalows, semi-detached homes, terraced houses and apartments, as well as commercial lots and shop offices. Bandar Country Homes is surrounded by matured townships, such as Saujana Rawang, Emerald West, Taman Desa Mas and Taman Bayu Permai.

 

Like its name suggests, Bandar Country Homes’ appeal lies within its concept of modern country living, where spacious homes within a verdant environment are comparatively more affordable than those in the suburban neighbourhoods around KL. The township of Bandar Country Homes consists of a recreational park and commercial areas with retail shops, banks, dining establishments, convenience stores and other services. It is also a short drive from AEON Rawang hypermarket and Anggun City Mall.

 

The schools available in the vicinity of Bandar Country Homes include SMK Taman Desa, SMK Taman Desa 2, SK Taman Desa, SK Taman Desa 2 and SJK (C) Emerald. It is also located nearby the Bukit Beruntung Golf & Country Resort, Tasik Puteri Golf and Country Club, and Kundang Lakes Country Club.

 

Accessibility and Transportation

Located approximately 10km from Rawang town centre, Bandar Country Homes is easily accessible via the North-South Expressway, which takes about 30 minutes’ drive to KL city centre. It is also connected to the Guthrie Corridor Expressway, KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR) and New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), all of which lead to various parts of the Klang Valley. The KTM Rawang station is located in Rawang town, about 8 km from Bandar Country Homes.
