Overview

Ara Damansara is an affluent township in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Launched in 1999 by Sime Pilmoor Development Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sime Darby Berhad, it sits on 762 acres of freehold land along the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport road. It is primarily a residential township with mixed properties such as double-storey link houses, double-storey semi-detached houses, bungalows, medium-cost apartments, high-rise condominiums and shop offices. It has an excellent road infrastructure and many of the developments are built based on modern designs incorporating green architecture and are gated and guarded making them secure properties.

Property Development

The Oasis Square is one of the trendiest hangout spots with many restaurants, cafés and bistros such as The Royal Flush and Crazy Crabs. Adjacent is the Oasis Corporate Park, a commercial development consisting of serviced suites, office suites, office towers and a lifestyle centre. Ara Hill is a low-density enclave on 16 acres with luscious landscape consisting of Ara Hill Resort Villa – 20 blocks of 3-storey condominiums – and Ara Hill Resort Condominium – 8 to 10-storey condominiums. Tenants of Ara Hill enjoy a clubhouse and a high-end security system. Verde is a 13-storey serviced condominium with many recreational facilities. Scheduled to be completed in 2017, H20 Residences, is a four block 15-storey serviced apartment and SoHo with a unique exterior in the form of a signature interlocking ice cube façade.  

Amenities and Facilities

Within Ara Damansara and its vicinity every possible amenity and facility can be found. One of the biggest advantage is the presence of the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport just minutes away. Ara Damansara is sandwiched between two golf courses, Saujana Golf and Country Club and Tropicana Golf and Country Resort. Ara Damansara Medical Centre and Ramsay Sime Darby offer excellent healthcare services. The Citta Strip Mall is a neighbourhood shopping mall with a vast range of restaurants and entertainment such as Firezone Family KTV Karaoke and MBO Cinemas. For additional shopping and entertainment, Paradigm Mall, the Curve, IKEA Home Furnishing, IPC Shopping Centre, Tesco Hypermarket and 1 Utama Shopping Centre are all within a 20-minute drive. In adjoining neighborhoods, within a short drive are excellent schools such as IOP International Preschool, Kinderland and Japanese School of Kuala Lumpur and higher education institutions such as SEGi University, KDU College and KBU International College. The upcoming LRT station on the Kelana Jaya extension line will improve connectivity and act as a catalyst to the growing market of Ara Damansara.
