Overview

Desa Petaling, is a mature residential township located only 12 kilometres from the Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

Accessibility and Transportation

Desa Petaling has superb accessibility to many other places around the Klang Valley as one can reach this township via highways such as the Kuala Lumpur – Seremban Highway, the New Pantai Expresway (NPE), the Maju Expressway (MEX) and the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (SMART Motorway Tunnel). 

Public transportation is also within easy reach of the residents of Desa Petaling as buses which ply the Kuala Lumpur route to places like Central Market, Jalan Pudu, Jalan Imbi, and Bukit Bintang also stop in Desa Petaling. Additionally, the nearest Light Rail Transit (LRT) station which is the Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT station which is located at the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), can be reached in approximately 5 minutes by car. Besides Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT station, the TBS station also houses a Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) or train station, taxi stand and a major bus station. A Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station is also in the works to be built at Kuchai Lama under the MRT Line 2. This too, will be within a stone’s throw of Desa Petaling.

Amenities and Facilities

Desa Petaling is within the vicinity and is surrounded by both mature commercial and residential areas like Old Klang Road, Kuchai Lama and Sri Petaling with a plethora of amenities like petrol stations, food and beverage outlets, cinemas, hypermarkets as well as both primary and secondary schools alike. There is also a sports centre here which caters to badminton and futsal enthusiasts of all ages.

Desa Petaling is also within driving distance to University Putra Malaysia in Serdang, one of Malaysia’s premier public universities, as well as to the Asia-Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) which is located in Technology Park Malaysia (TPM) in Bukit Jalil.
